Artist Statement
I find balance and understanding in the imagery and language of the visceral marks I make with encaustic wax. The medium is fluid, smells of honey and creates textures that reveal and surprise as I lift the paper from the hot wax. As the tide leaves traces upon the sand and the waves keep coming it is these moments of time of that I hope to capture.
Inspired by the sea, a buzzing bee, a sprouting seed and surrounded with love.
